The Nevada State Nursing Board regulates the CNA training and certification in the state of Nevada. Training courses are commonly offered at community colleges and vocational schools. The entire training consist a minimum of 75 hours for classroom and clinical training in various health care settings.

CNA Training Program Requirements in Nevada

CNA Examination in Nevada

The Nevada State Board of Nursing provides the certification and credentials to those who have passed the state CNA examination. The exam, which will be administered by Prometric, is two parts that include a written test and demonstration of at least 5 skills. The cost of the exam is $120.

Once you pass the two-part test, your name will be listed in the Nevada CNA registry and you will receive your certification which must be renewed once every 2 years, with at least 8 hours of CNA-related employment within the required time period.
